DETROIT - General Motors Co. is recalling more than 4,000 of its 2012 Chevrolet Sonic subcompact cars to check for missing brake pads.
Some Sonics could be missing an inner or outer brake pad
, which could increase stopping distance. GM said there are no known crashes or injuries related to the issue.
The recall involves 4,296 of GM's 2012 Sonics sold in the U.S. Affected models are from the Orion Township, Mich., assembly plant, which makes Sonics for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Buy a Chevy!!!

Our recent crash tests showed the Chevy Malibu outperformed the Toyota Camy in vehicle malfunctioins.

Why are we better than a Toyota? Well, even though with our cars you might not be able to stop, a Toyota will propel you uncontrollably down the highway at 120 mph. Buicks and Lincolns are also more likely to crash through the front door of a pharmacy.

I get it. They're holding out until Obama gives them another trillion dollars, then they'll start putting brakes in the cars. Or not.

Sadfully, 2x my location was hit this year. Both with equal damage.
1: little old lady in a Buick, she was having a medical issue at the time.
2: 18 yr old girl in a Honda Civic. She was just dumb.
