Looks like they've had a Lt's Position on the books for the past 12 years. Are there any in the system? It kind of seems like what has happened with the Campus Police Chief's position @ my work, although it will remain on the books forever I don't think the State is going to hiring any Chiefs once the few that are left retire. They will all be replaced by "Directors" and CPO II's.

Good point there Green/red man!

Of course AFSCME has been pushing hard and stated in July that it would only be "days" until the CPO III was a reality

Greetings all,
Not much of a raise...if that's what it's supposed to be. At my department, CPOIs [Patrol Officer] are a grade 14. CPOIIs [Sergeant] are a grade 15.

AFSCME was asked by the campus police of unit II at the _last_ contract negotiations to 'bump-up' the CPOIIs at least two pay grades above the CPOIs. It should have been CPOI - Grade 14, CPOII - Grade 16. Now an officer becomes a Lieutenant and only goes to grade 16?!

More work and responsibility should be rewarded with more pay. Just ask any college administrator how it works for them!

But, AFSCME being AFSCME…you all know what happens…

Work safe,
