The Town of Burlington is soliciting applications for Police Officers through lateral transfer. Minimum requirements include 2 years exp. as a f/t municipal Police Officer with Civil Service status; successful completion of Police Recruit training; excellent attendance & performance history. Employment is contingent upon background investigation, psychological and medical pre-screening. Preference will be given to qualified local residents. Example of current salary range: $37,913 up to $61,600. (After 3 years with. Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and night differential) Also: Quinn Bill; night differential; vacation leave (based. on Holyoke decision); 12 paid holidays, 3 personal days; 4 and 2 work schedule; clothing allowance; EMT incentive; liberal bereavement policy; cumulative sick time; 5-step salary increases; opportunities for overtime; details; training; cumulative compensatory time; indoor range and exercise room in station as well as other municipal employee benefits.
