BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - A federal prosecutor says a Bridgeport man has been sentenced to three years in prison for storing hundreds of pounds of cocaine in his apartment.
Twenty-3-year-old Luis Mojica (moh-HEE'-kuh) was sentenced Wednesday for conspiring to distribute crack cocaine.
Court documents show Dennis Broadnax of Bridgeport paid Mojica to store hundreds of pounds of cocaine and crack at Mojica's apartment from the spring of 2005 through September 2006.
Broadnax, also "cooked" some of the cocaine into crack at the apartment. Mojica would help Broadnax in bagging up the crack into small black bags for street level resale.
Prosecutors say Broadnax, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison, trafficked more than 440 pounds of cocaine.
