They flyer could be fake, but they are definitely opening up for laterals. The Commissioner came to a A-1 roll call recently and confirmed it.

Confirmed. 10 year residency. We are currently in negotiations for 5 year residency.

^^ agreed. I was selected as an out of city resident on the list but already being POST and full time certified there was no way I was going through academy and entire entry level hiring process to include moving a family into Boston.

Whoever uproots their life to move into Boston shouldn’t pass the psych. Place is becoming a joke and the mayor/city council hates cops more so than your average politician.

move into the city, get put on B3 last halfs, and forced to work 70+ Hours a week for a city that hates you? I would think anybody looking to lateral would look at a place like Quincy first.

I would think anybody looking to lateral would look at a place like Quincy first.

You need a dime the size of Mount Everest to get a lateral to Quincy.
