Boaters save leaper after Tobin suicide attempt

    Four quick-thinking heroes near the Chelsea Yacht Club helped save a suicidal jumper whose perilous plummet off the Tobin Bridge yesterday morning ended miraculously in only minor injuries.
    The 42-year-old man leapt off the upper deck of the Tobin and plunged into the Mystic River just yards away from a tugboat crew and two yacht club members who rushed to the rescue.
    “The first thing the guy says is, ‘I’m supposed to be dead,’ ” said Chelsea Yacht Club Commodore Angelo Tummino.

    I'd be pissed if i hurled myself off a bridge, only to survive! We'll be reading about him actually completing the job (when he's released from the lunie bin)
