Outlawed are food donations to homeless shelters because the city can't assess their salt, fat and fiber content, reports CBS 2's Marcia Kramer.
Glenn Richter arrived at a West Side synagogue on Monday to collect surplus bagels - fresh nutritious bagels - to donate to the poor. However, under a new edict from Bloomberg's food police he can no longer donate the food to city homeless shelters.

In his defense, he may not be the first person upset with what food gets donated to homeless shelters....

This just in: In keeping with his latest edict encouraging breatfeeding, the mayor will travel to the homeless shelters and personally suckle the bums from his man boobs...
BTW, Bloomberg does not practice what he preaches, that hyprcrite loads his food with salt and will not travel without armed security!
