Job Description:
Responsibilities: The BIDMC Public Safety Department is comprised of 78 individuals who are dedicated to safeguard our employees, patients and guests. The Public Safety Department is divided into two divisions Police and Security. The Police Division is a Criminal Justice Recognized department that has 12 individuals who are empowered as Special State Police Officers and Suffolk Deputy Sheriffs. The Police Division enthusiastically embraces Community Policing and its principles and is always looking for ways to improve the services provided to the BIDMC community. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice preferred, and three years of professional law enforcement is preferred. A full MCJTC Police Academy or its equivalent is preferred. Is eligible and maintains in good standing all required licensing and permits as well as Massachusetts State Police department police officer warrants and other required certificates and licenses. Hours: Positions available for Days 7:00am-3:00pm, Evenings 3:00pm-11:00pm, and Nights 11:00pm-7:30am
