Barre PD is a Dept. that is basically starting from scratch. For years, they had an administration that was completely incompetent, and had no vision. Within the past year and a half, a new Chief was selected, and has increased the size of the dept. from three full time to nine full time. The pay is above average for the area, and the dept. just went union, and is in the process of negotiating a contract. There are a good amount of details, and plenty of shi_bags to keep you busy. There is a substantial amount of drug activity for a small town (approx. 6000). Barre is the regional business center for many of the small towns that surround it, and has a decent amount of commercial and industrial based businesses. They have a K-9 unit, and are in the process of becoming accredited. The downside is that it is a "backwoods" town, that is very slow to accept change, and the politics in town are BRUTAL. If you need any other info, just PM me.

Barre is a small town of approx. 6000 year round residents located 20 miles north of Worcester. The towns that border Barre are Rutland (pop. 7500), Oakham(pop.2200), Hubbardston(pop.4500), Hardwick(pop.3200) and Petersham(pop.1500). Barre is considered the "economic center" so to speak of the immediate area. Barre is 45 square miles with approx. 120 miles of roadways. The majority of commercial and industrial business for all of the small towns that surround Barre is done there. The regional Jr./Sr. High School is also located in Barre (approx. 1800 students). The population increases by approx. 1500 in the summer time due to a large campground located in the town. There is quite a bit of commercial growth scheduled for the near future. A Dunkin Donuts, car wash, Jiffy Lube are scheduled to built in the spring. Also a substantial amount of residential development in the town. Property prices are still quite reasonable though, compared to the area. There is quite a bit criminal activity in the town to keep you busy. Any other questions just PM me.

I haven't been checking too many posts lately, so this one slipped....

He (stpd714) only had 2 posts, so is he even a member any more? If he is, it will be short lived - I can guarantee that.

STPD714 (whatever the hell that means)- Like Irishpride said, keep your personal attacks to PM's. Especially since you don't know me. Pay attention moosh...
Lose another job? I don't recall ever losing a single Job. And No, I'm no longer at Regis since I don't have the time for it, I already have 2 jobs working as a part-time patrolman in, you guessed it, Warren and a Full-time job in Boston. A 3rd job was too much and unneccessary. Regis is a good place to work though - resigned on good terms and with the "welcome back anytime". Granted I may only have Reserve Academy, Although I have more specialized training than quite a few people that would make your head spin -- Yes, I would like to go to MPOC, but I'm not 22 and I'm not living at home with Mom and Dad. So to send myself to MPOC is rather difficult and I don't have $20k laying around to cover my Mortgage and bills while I'm out of work at MPOC.

And a special thanks to my fellow Officer, BigDog15 !! (and what was her phone # again?) LOL J/K
