SALEM, N.H. -- A Salem bank employee has been charged with stealing thousands of dollars from customer accounts.
Police said Seydyss Barreto, 54, of Plaistow, N.H., has been charged with four counts of forgery and four counts of theft totaling more than $7,600.
Investigators said two customers at a Sovereign Bank branch in Salem reported unauthorized withdrawals from their CD accounts. Police said Barreto made four withdrawals in June and July. She was a customer service representative.
