My dept. just picked up 7 new cruisers...well I guess you can call em cruisers.

Maybe I can pick up some of those Police Interceptor emblems that are for sale on the board and stick em on these <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Here is some information on APD's new fleet

Well top speed is 32 MPH but governed at 21 MPH I doubt these little babies will see 95 ;)

We are registering two of them not sure what the other 5 will do except collect dust in the garage. Wonder if an Edge Series light bar will fit? :D

Gil, in the immortal words of the great actor Ted Knight, "Gambling is illegal at Bushwoods sir and I never slice!" Plymouth PD just picked up a few new golf carts...er, um...community policing vehicles too. :D

Hey Gil,
If you had one of those at EVOC, Monty might have made it through the back-up course the first time. Wait a minute, we're talking about Monty, wouldn't have made a difference. So will we be seeing you on Tuesday in your shiny new golf cart?
Have a good weekend, see ya Tuesday.

Oh yeah, why am I still a rookie?

Need to post a few more times....You make Officer at 30 posts. Or just wait till December 13th

BTW: Nothing would have helped Monty. I think Sal was running him that day. All he kept asking was "which way which way!!" Failed to pay attention to detail. Think he was the only one to get kicked off the course. :D

Nice wheels! Is that what they are going to start you patrolling in, Gil?

Nantucket got an "electric vehicle" over the summer as well, good for community policing/PR stuff but I'm not sure what else. It seemed like more of a car than a golf cart from what I remember. It was purchased by the state with some grant money; is that how Attleboro and Plymouth did it?

It's my understanding that they gave us seven to use free of charge for a year, after that we can buy them or turn them back in. I heard they offered us a deal if we bought them outright the day the delivered them it would have been half price. Not sure what the total was some said $10,000 each but that seems a little too high.

Sgt. Hadfield at the forest? , not in this academy. We only see him at the gym, which by the way should be getting the wrecking ball sometime this week.

Looks like we will be running every day now.

If they are mechanically governed, all you need is two wrenches, 8mm and 10mm (to my recollection) Take off the big black box with the 10mm and you will see a wire that runs though that. Where it comes out of the box there is a nut, loosen that with the 8mm and pull the wire out, tighten. :D

A warning though, the carts are governed because the engines can't handle what they can actually do, fall apart and have many problems if ungoverned

Mpd61, somehow our chief found some company in Jersey that buys old CV's, paints them and freshens them up and sells them as taxi's. This company gives us TOP dollar for them-more than I ever thought they were worth. They arrive at the station w/in 12 hrs of notification of winning the bid. Sorry
Scott.....

Oh gosh! a 98 with 130,000 miles? Geez are you spoiled!

There are plenty of us out here who can beat that hands down, but afraid to admit it.

Hey MPOC, can we have the next car to go in six months....Please! I'll write you another letter for your file to the chief!
