ASHBY -- A woman arrested last week allegedly gave police her sister's name and address as her own, according to Police Chief Paul Lundin.
"We believe she's done this more than once," Lundin said.
Police charged Amy Marie Bassett, 42, homeless, with breaking and entering on Oct. 26 for allegedly taking items from a Fort Hill Road Home.
But Bassett allegedly told police she was Jessica Goguen, 40, of Ashburnham.
Bassett did not have any identification on her when she was arrested and police have still not received the results from her fingerprints, Lundin said.
Goguen is Bassett's sister and called police after a co-worker told her about the arrest story in the newspaper, Lundin said.
Bassett has allegedly used her sister's name before when arrested, Lundin said. She knew all of Goguen's information, including date of birth and home address, Lundin said. Bassett is now charged with giving false identification information to police, a misdemeanor, Lundin said.
