Checkpoint nets arrest... for trying to steal traffic cones.

A holiday weekend sobriety checkpoint in Temecula (CA) yielded six arrests, including one person arrested after attempting to steal cones being used for the checkpoint, authorities said.
According to a Temecula Police Department news release, 2,305 cars passed through the checkpoint, which was held from 7 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday at Margarita and Stonewood roads. Police conducted nine field sobriety tests and arrested three people on suspicion of driving under the influence.
One person was arrested on seven outstanding warrants and another on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. In addition, 26 citations were issued.
