These seem to be really catching on now. Any departments in MA issuing them or has anyone gotten one for themselves? I'm will be choosing the XD over the Glock for my duty weapon and now I am looking towards holster options. I have an Uncle Mike's Pro-3 size 18 for up to 4in medium automatics and wonder how well the 4" might fit. I tried emailing uncle mike's and they actually suggested a size 25 which would usually be used w/ a Glock 21. Thought this was odd because the XD 4" should be close to the dimensions of the G23. Just trying to see if anyone has any info. Let know if you have one in Central MA and wouldn't mind test fitting in my holster.

·Don't know if you're still interested in this topic, but I'm using the XD 4" in 40 S&W. Really nice gun to carry and shoot. Getting a duty holster was a problem when I got mine - the one I had for my old Glock didn't fit and I wanted something without the thumb break. Found one in the Blackhawk CQC line - carbon fiber with L2 retention. It even came with a conversion for a paddle, but it fits my 2" duty belt really well with the included belt option. I like the fact that the gun itself has no external saftey - everything is internal and all you have to do is "point and shoot". The grip saftey was a bit of a problem (I have smaller hands that make it somewhat difficult to depress it fully and still keep good control of the weapon) - I added an after market strip to it that extends the lever and makes it more depress fully for a more positive engagement. The pistol itself is a winner - I've put well over 1200 rounds through it with no missfeeds (and I'm using just about everything from dept supplied to cheap UMC stuff I get at Wal-Mart). More than that you can't ask of a duty gun. Best of luck and hope you find the right mix of XD and holster.
