The SPA is a real burden on the New Braintree water supply. Therefore, wait until lights out before flushing any of the toilets.

Ask if they have an online version of the academy available to reduce the number of weeks you commute........or will the state reimburse you mileage?

Ask to go for a jog on Wine Road, its a much nicer road then the track around rear company street.

When parked at the SPA, always leave your car unlocked. Don't worry the DI's respect your privacy.

Make sure to look the DI's in the eyes when they are "speaking" to you.

When you are leaving or coming back to the academy, make sure that your windows are down and your music is up all the way. I'm sure that the DI's love to listen to different stuff.

Remember..."personal time" at night it YOUR time. Don't let anyone tell you different. If you need to take a nap then you do it. If the SPA staff tries to tell you different be sure to stand up for yourself. They are looking for assertive, outgoing people.

In week 6 you familiarize yourself with duty weapons. If you plan on carrying off-duty then bring your weapon of choice in order to qualify.

In order to cutdown on stress they encourage you to bring your cellphone...so you can keep in touch with loved ones.

The DI's are looking for your "attention to detail" so make sure you correct their grammer and let them know when their gig line is slightly off. Again, the key is to stand above the rest and SHINE!!!!

It is ok if there are scuff marks on your boots -- it shows the DI's that you are working hard while wearing them.

When assigned a To/From letter as a disciplinary tool, be sure to include your thoughts and feelings and how the DI made YOU feel when he/she decided on this corrective action.

Also,if the red pen corrections on the TFL's hurt your self esteem, be sure to ask the DI's to use a different color ink.
