ROCKLAND, Mass. -- Four Brockton teenagers face arraignment in juvenile court after allegedly stabbing a 12-year-old Rockland boy during an attempt to steal his bike.
Police say the victim was riding with friends on Saturday evening when he was approached by two 15-year-old youths and two 14-year-old boys who demanded the bicycle.
When he refused, he was stabbed in the lower back. The injury is not considered life threatening.
Two suspects were arrested soon after the incident, and two were apprehended about three hours later.
Three of the four youths are charged with assault and battery with intent to rob and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. They are all charged with shoplifting in connection with an earlier incident.
They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
