ORANGE, Mass. -- Orange police say three teenagers were killed and a fourth was injured in a late-night car crash.
Police Chief Brian Spear tells the Athol Daily News the vehicle left the road just after 11:00 on Thursday night, struck a tree and rolled onto its side.
Joseph Songer of Athol, and Angelica Cheverez and Brittany Bailey, both of Orange, were killed. All the victims were 18-years-old.
The driver, 17-year-old Frederic Adams of Athol, survived and was flown to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. A spokesman said Friday that Adams was in the pediatric intensive care unit.
Spear says the accident is still under investigation.
The manager of McDonald's in Athol says the four had worked at the restaurant, although Bailey had recently taken another job. He says they did not work Thursday night.
