HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford police say three men have been shot in separate incidents around the city after several days of relative calm with a new curfew in place.
A sergeant with the Major Crimes Division says unlike the series of shootings involving young people which prompted the curfew, those connected with Wednesday's shootings are not teenagers.
Police say 2 of the men were shot multiple times and were last reported in critical condition at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. The third was wounded in the arm.
The first shooting occurred in late afternoon on Sterling Street. The second occurred on Cornwall Street and the third was reported in a parking lot on Laurel Street.
The curfew, which took effect last Thursday night, prohibits those under 18 from being on the streets after 9 p.m. unless they are with a parent or guardian.
