AMHERST,Mass. (WWLP) - Three people were arrested on the Umass Amherst campus during celebrations after the Red Sox's big comeback against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 of the ALCS Thursday night.
According to a news release from UMass Amherst, a small crowd of between 300 and 400 students celebrated in the Southwest Residential Area after the game. Police dispersed the crowd and arrested three people for charges of rioting and failure to disperse.
Two of the people arrested were Umass students - Jordan Burke, 19, of Danvers and Brian L. Bartolucci, 19, of Brewster. Justin Sleeper, 25, of Worcester, was also arrested - he is not a student at UMass.

I used to spend a lot of "quality time" at zoo Mass (was still called that back then) but we did not take to the streets like a bunch of wild animals. We stuck to inside activities or patronized area pubs. The students who take part in this destructive behavior should be dismissed from the University.

I know the courts will never hold these little brats responsible..A nice surcharge to the parents to pay for all this nonsense will put a dent in it...Otherwise this nonsense will continue

You forget these little brats are now legally adults and the parents cannot get any information on anything about them from the college or the courts, never mind being held responsible.

When people who are non-students are charged they should be prohibited from entering university property.
