AMHERST,Mass. (WWLP) - Three people were arrested on the Umass Amherst campus during celebrations after the Red Sox's big comeback against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 of the ALCS Thursday night.
According to a news release from UMass Amherst, a small crowd of between 300 and 400 students celebrated in the Southwest Residential Area after the game. Police dispersed the crowd and arrested three people for charges of rioting and failure to disperse.
Two of the people arrested were Umass students - Jordan Burke, 19, of Danvers and Brian L. Bartolucci, 19, of Brewster. Justin Sleeper, 25, of Worcester, was also arrested - he is not a student at UMass.
