A Motorcycle Run to Benefit
The Grace Alice Campbell Foundation
Dedicated to Helping Children Affected by Congenital Heart Defects
Grace Alice Campbell was born on September 4, 2003 with a rare and serious congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She had her 1st of 3 open heart surgeries when she was only 6 days old, her 2nd when she was 5 months.
This police escorted motorcycle ride will go to raise money for The Grace Alice Campbell Foundation, which helps children and their families who are being treated in the pediatric cardiac intensive care unit at Boston Children's Hospital, and also to help fund research to treat and one day find a cure for CHD's
Congenital Heart Defects are the nations #1 birth defect, affecting 32,000 or 1 in 125 babies born each year. There are 35 known CHD's some treatable with medications and others requiring surgery and even heart transplants.
