GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) - Two people have been charged in connection with the death of a 17-year-old Greenwich High School student who overdosed on methadone last year.
Thirty-5-year-old Frank Chimblo Jr. of Greenwich was charged with second-degree manslaughter and illegal sale of narcotics in the February 2007 death of Kyle Lendenmann. Police also charged 29-year-old Catherine Bausch of Norwalk with illegal drug selling.
Investigators believe Bausch sold methadone to Chimblo, who then sold some to Lendenmann. Methadone is often used to treat heroin's withdrawal symptoms.
Chimblo and Bausch were arrested last week. Chimblo is being held on $100,000 bond and Bausch posted $5,000 bail.
Police say Chimblo has a criminal record and has been an informant for many police agencies over the years.
