More Arrests Possible, Police Say

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Two men have been arrested in connection with a Saturday assault in Middletown that sent a man to the hospital with head injuries. Middletown police arrested Brian Warmingham, 21, and Matthew Hollman, 19, both of Cromwell.

Police were called to a house in the 200 block of Meetinghouse Lane at 4:43 a.m. Saturday, police said. When they arrived, they found a 20-year-old who had been beaten in the head, neck and face. It appeared to officers that he had been beaten with a blunt object. He was treated and transported to Hartford Hospital.

The man gave police names and descriptions of the attackers. Police said the man told them that two or more men broke into his apartment while he was sleeping and then began beating him. He called 911.

The man told police he had had an altercation with the two men in Cromwell at about 12:30 a.m.
Police said more arrests could be made.

Hollman and Warmingham were charged with home invasion, first-degree assault and second-degree criminal mischief, among other charges.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call Middletown police detectives at 860-344-3240.
