The Lowell Police Department is seeking highly motivated, experienced Police Officers for lateral transfer to our department. The Lowell Police Department is a highly regarded police agency offering many opportunities for career development and advancement.
Entrance Requirements:
Only permanent civil service police officers from Massachusetts are eligible for transfer under the provision of Chapter 31, Section 35 of the Massachusetts General Laws. Applicants must have satisfactorily completed a prescribed course of study approved by the Municipal Police Training Committee or have a permanent MPTC waiver. All candidates seeking transfer to the Lowell Police Department will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation, medical examination and psychological examination.
Benefits:
Annual starting salary is $71,296 up to $89,102 with full Quin Bill educational incentive. Additional benefits include vacation accruement based on years of service as a Massachusetts Police Officer.
