After seeing some of the fun and interesting responses in the “Wheelgun” thread started by mpd61, I thought perhaps there should be a separate thread for “What guns have you carried for a duty weapon over the years, whether personally owned or Dept-issued? And when? And for what type of LE agency/assignment?” I’ll start...... 1974-1976-ish S&W M19 4" Nickel finish, personally owned gun, (with .38 spl loads) as an Auxiliary/Special Officer (small MA town). 1976 S&W M28 Hwy Patrolman 6" bbl, personally owned gun (with .38 spl loads) as a Summer Special on Cape Cod 1976 - 1977 S&W Model 36 2" .38 spl (Dept issued) as a SSPO Campus Police Officer in MA (No, I didn't have Chapter 90) 1977 - 1989 S&W Model 15 4" bbl, .38 spl, (Dept issued) while assigned to Patrol with LASD. (I also might have carried some unusual, small and probably unauthorized guns while working undercover Narco for six months. But I’m not admittin' anything, can't really remember anyway!) 1989 - 2011 Beretta 92F 9mm (Dept issue) while working uniformed Patrol and other assignments. Sometimes carried an “alternately authorized” S&W Model 6906 9mm while working plainclothes or other assignments. What about you guys?

Somehow a computer, a pen, and a tie don't quite get the same results in this thread. *Sigh* I'll retire to my nerdery with my fellows nerds and calculators.
