Listen kingdope, smoking pot isn't something you do just on myspace... I don't want a stoner backing me up either. Try telling your sob story to someone who cares.

I'll be nice enough to give you this piece of advice. Make sure you drink a lot of vinegar for about a week before your piss test.

40, just sit back and bite your tongue for awhile. Otherwise, you may post something irrational as a reaction to another post and get a ticket for the bus. And let me forewarn you, it's usually a one-way ticket...

Guilty by association King....You'll learn that if you ever get on the job.....knuckle heads tend to associate with other knuckle heads....

That being said....if you're even going to make it on this site, let alone in Law Enforcement, you need to get some thicker skin.....

"Digging up" --- I typed 2 words into Google.....If you really want someone to dig you up....keep posting the way you are....

    Good luck buddy....

Woonsocket is a great department with alot of special units. Its sad to hear that the FD will be experiencing lay offs, since that city has about 10 large house fires every winter.
  10. L4G81 MassCops Member

It's called background investigation. If you can't deal with it from someone on here doing it in a simple way then I'd advise you to start searching for a new career...

  11. fra444 MassCops Member

HelpMe, the last I heard was that R.I. has managed to avoid layoffs. I may be completely wrong about this and if so please correct me.

King. Settle down. I get it if its not you then you need to be more careful about who you know or hang with. Some jobs do check out MyWaste and FB and other pages. If you are truly trying to get on the job this is the time you need to mind your p's and q's.

You can be hung out to dry by a possible future job more easily and quickly than you were her on this site.

As someone who knows somebody, who knows somebody else, regarding background investigations,
you're getting off quite easily here.

Innocent or not, your ass is out the door unless you bring back your so-called idiot friend that created the page and prove that he in fact did it.

Jobs are scarce in Ma. It's not a problem to bypass someone. So go punch out your buddy because he could have cost you a job.

By the way, know anybody that smokes weed?

We could spend an hour on that interview question alone...

I dunno. None of my friends ever made a myspace page like that for me. I am not even on that shit anyhow. But still why would a friend do that. If he did do that especially if that picture is yours. I would notify myspace or someone to shut that user name down! A complex situation.

Just a heads up to anyone who may have applied here - yesterday I recieved not one, but two letters sent to this address with random names. I called their personnel department @ the city hall today and they said they had an intern there who messed basically everything up with the letters (they fired her recently). Long story short, if you didn't receieve a letter yet it could be because yours was sent to the wrong address. Give them a call and ask - City of Woonsocket - Personnel Division - (401) 762-6400

I am not sure if anyone has tested with Woonsocket before, but I am wondering if there is a dress code (official or unofficial) for the exam next weekend? I know RISP required test takers to dress up, so I am wondering if anyone knows if local depts in RI require the same thing for their exams? It does not say anything about a dress code on the letter they sent out, but if anyone has tested there before were people dressed up? Would a polo shirt etc be OK? ....thanks.
  21. LawMan3 Moderator

Unless they changed anything, just a polo should be fine. When I took the exam in 08, some people showed up in jeans and a t-shirt, and some showed up in suits. A polo shirt should be fine.
  22. Flex1510 MassCops Member

    ok, thanks
  23. PBiddy35 Subscribing Member

Flex, I've taken a few tests there and while it's not required, why not wear a suit? There will be a few people there dressed in business attire and some wearing sweatsuits. Do you want to run in the middle ground or with the noticeably over dressed in appreciation of the officers/ brass who took the time to be there? Up to you.
