Fantastic....lots of police departments have active shooters on-board retired heavy cruisers (the Salem is the only one left in the world).

If you don't have extra powder and shot, it'll all be over by the time the waggon with the militia arrives... if it's not in yer weskit, or yer ferkin, it'll be too late!

Good news! The majority of the ship can rightfully be considered a safe backstop for stray rounds!

Does the Salem have a vantage point to critical infrastructure ?

Maybe they should have Steven Siegal there since he did the same thing in Under Seige

Eight MBTA transit police completed a SWAT training mission aboard the retired Navy heavy cruiser on Saturday morning as part of Urban Shield: Boston, a 24-hour training program to test the readiness and capabilities of emergency management teams, such as SWAT. Ten teams from the Boston area participated in training scenarios based on specific emergency situations. At the USS Salem, team members were issued simulation gear, including guns and ammunition that resembled paint ball equipment.
