I've said it before, I'll say it again, you don't follow up on a thread, you miss some good stuff...or stuff like was posted here.
I have seen several tests being given since I have been on. When I worked days, one of the senior guys would call me down to the high school and we would park the cruisers near the awaiting line. He then would proceed by telling me that here we were, doing what every single one of the people in line were hungry for. He would then also remind me that maybe 25% of the ones that would even pass the test, will be lucky enough to get hired. We would stand here and watch several hundred people, drooling over the cruisers. If they only knew what they were signing up for... Love my job, hate the administrative bull shit. Got to love the guys showing up for the CS test talking about it's just a formality, they already have an "in". Or this clowns wearing their various PD shirts they probably bought off eBay. What's even worse are the Sheriff's exams, by gawd was that a joke. Oh yeah, I'm just doing this in the meanwhile before my town takes from the list, this is just temporary. Never assume anything in life and do all that you can to succeed. For in the end when you have regrets, you only have one person to blame, yourself.
