Since we're using your per capita stats, I would like to draw your attention to job stats that the two barracks with the largest amount of drug seizures on *cold mv stops* (not whisper stops) come from C and A, and neither involve the cities of Boston or Worcester.

Useless knowledge, I know I know...

Who are you kidding? You hide in the bushes and jump out at them!!

Stay safe - you'll be back when the weather starts breaking.... and the new kids emerge from their SPA experience with all their shiny new equipment !!!

Help a civilian out...what's the difference between a "cold" and "whisper" mv stop?

You can't tell me because of OpSEC? Bummer. I figured maybe it was:

    1. Cold - officer didn't have his hat on

    2. Whisper - officer spoke softly while carrying a big stick

I was just being my useless self while I sit here waiting for my fruitcake to fall asleep. I'm sure Sine will clarify if sufficiently moved by your inquiry.

I'm doing just about the same thing here. The little goose is in bed "reading".

Please clarify Sine, if so moved.

Yeah like most of the 79th that lived in the Merrimack Valley...most of whom are still west of 495.

If we arrest too many of a certain group (COUGH.....illegal brazilians......COUGH), we are "spoken to".

Hence, I've decided to once again give the people (command staff) what they (think) they want.

I'll answer my radio calls, make arrests for felonies, domestic incidents, and those calls that require immediate police action, but that's about it. You can't get "spoken to" about an arrest for unlicensed operation of an illegal alien if you don't make any traffic stops.

Path of least resistance.....approximately 9 years and 9 months to go.

    *Total thread hijack*

Cold stop: you stop a car for violations and you make a criminal case from soup to nuts by developing probable cause based upon what you observe. Whisper stop: some secret squirrel unit asks you stop a car for them. Whisper stops are not limited to narcotics investigations; think federal investigations for a variety of reasons.

Nah, I figure that every time a drug trafficker gets locked up from a motor vehicle stop let them think that they got dimed out by a rat. Because no lowly road Trooper could ever be that good on his own. (I'm speaking about others out there, of course )

Nice, you're fitting in quite well around here...

I see a lot of the beautiful people from your class that never drove past GHQ.

I and others wouldn't refer to arresting a 90-10 Brazilian as a good pinch. In fact, at our station if you leave your patrol area for a 90-10/90-23 arrest you're immediately tarred and feathered for public humiliation. Unlicensed/illegal? Try this: 90-11 $35, tow car for $90, impounded for $25/day. Win-win. Life's all about options, bro...
