Rep. Carlos T. Henriquez of Dorchester was arrested early this morning on charges of domestic kidnapping and assault stemming from an incident involving a girlfriend who fled from his car, Boston police said.
Henriquez, 35, a Democratic state legislator, was arrested at about 4:30 a.m. after the woman jumped out of his rented Zipcar on Forsyth Way and reached out to a Northeastern University security officer for help, police spokesman Officer James Kenneally said.
The woman, who Kenneally said is in her early 20s, told police Henriquez punched her during a physical altercation in the car when he allegedly refused to return her to her mother’s home in Arlington.

Don't be silly. State Reps don't pay. Only cops do... With their jobs.

I hope the media didn't get it wrong and call NEUPD security....but they probably did.

I was wondering that also. NUPD has security officers who patrol and have a vehicle. So it could be accurate.

"Representative Henriquez, who made $65,235 in 2011, was driving an $8.75/hr rental which couldn't be stopped and the 43 grams of crack recovered from under the seat when he allegedly..... "

No doubt his sheep for constituents will be throwing him a re-election fundraiser where he'll win in a landslide saying he was a victim of "the system", the Popo's lied, the laws are racist, and there needs to be reform to the domestic violence laws, making them a civil offense only because it's a "police state"...

Oh... and can't forget the news conference, on some street corner, making the proverbial statements that he suffers from bi-polar and depression, has found God, and loves his mother. Of course every minister in the city will be there, along with Chuck "They dragged me out in my underwear" Turner, Mumbles Menino, and Ed Davis.

The above scenario is much more likely than him resigning...

What's the "shock" part? That the victim was female? This shit's run o the mill for these jackasses.

I already heard someone saying "everyone makes mistakes." Show of hands, how many people here have mistakenly kidnapped and beaten someone?

Condom among evidence seized in Carlos Henriquez case

A Magnum condom in an open wrapper and a broken fingernail coated in bright pink polish were among the evidence Boston police seized from the rented Zipcar prosecutors in two counties say state Rep. Carlos Henriquez used in last month’s violent kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend.
Unidentified strands of hair were also recovered from the blue Honda Insight hatchback, according to the search warrant return filed at Roxbury District Court. Detectives noted lifting seven latent prints from the car’s front and rear passenger-side doors and windows.
What the cops were looking for — but did not locate — were the Android-My Touch Q, memory card and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card 23-year-old Katherine Gonzalves claims her on-again, off-again Beacon Hill beau “forcefully” took from her when she warned him she was using the cellphone to film the alleged July 8 abduction.
