Qualifications: Qualifications: Ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or related field. Must have an active valid driver’s license and the right to legally operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Massachusetts and a US citizen. Must have graduated from high school or possess a GED equivalency certificate issued by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Just another way for the sheriff and the governor to SCREW unions. Eliminate the sheriff's office, replace the governor.

The MSO only provides radios. The security guys are in a different union than the CO's so I don't know if they are provided with a uniform allowance.
I guess there's a big difference between carrying a sap and working for one...unless you have to carry him because he can't command his/her way out of a paper bag.
