Let's get this baby started I know they are calling for interviews. Who got one? Start running if you haven't already.
Just curious to see what ur score is and if your a vet? Got a buddy that should be in this class and wanted to see where he compared to you.
There is no interview according to the mass civil service announcement bulletin. The only hiring steps are background investigation, physical abilities test, and medical exam.
Yea when you're told to bring "business attire" to your PAT so you can shower and change into after, that screams interview to me.
I was thinking that is the PAT. The obstacle course consisting of getting in to your suit, getting the superintendant her coffee, filing all of the documents properly, kissing the ass of the upper management, etc.....
When you go into sign the certification list the rep tells you that interviews and PATs are done the same day
Some interviews are being held on the 20th..... Looks like the DOC isn't dragging it's feet this time, hopefully they keeps things full steam ahead.
I have an interview Monday sept 17.. My only concern is wife is pregnant and due at the End of November.. If I pass both the pat and interview, would the academy start/end date conflict with my wife's due date?
Unsure about the academy start date. Even if it does inter-fear, just let one of your instructors know that your wife is due on set date. They'd have to be real heartless bastards to not let you be there for the birth of your child. While I was in the academy (not a DOC academy mind you) we had 2 guys who's wives gave birth during the academy. They were given a few days off in order to attend / take care of their wife and child.
My 2 friends have interviews this week on the 11th + 12th As too your wife's pregnancy, if you get in go talk to your senior DI and explain it to him. One guy in my academy was in the same boat. The academy is 10 weeks and you go home every night. It's also the last time you will see weekends off for awhile. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
Did the pat and interview yesterday.. 1/3 of our group of about 60 failed the situps/ pushups.. There was more to it then just doing the minimum amount.. You had to listen to their instructions.. Anyways passed all the pat but don't know how I did in the interview.. Wait and see I guess..
Honestly, I was one of the last to be interviewed.. I was so nervous going in I don't remember any of the 3 gentlemens names
Sounds like my interview, thought I did terrible, I even told my wife I wasn't getting the job. Don't worry to much and just continue training for the Academy. Peace Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
