Whatever other faults I could list with the Army & National Guard (and I could list MANY), I will say that every time I was issued a weapon, other than for PR events like "Meet a Soldier", I was also issued live ammunition, with clear rules of engagement.

I know I'm probably a little behind on this right now, but in the ABC news article it mentions that security forces were firing "warning shots." You have violent, armed individuals breaching the perimeter of an American embassy, attacking/killing American citizens and destroying American property. If that's not enough to justify shooting to kill over shooting warning shots in the air; then, what the hell is?
I'm not at all surprised by this information given their latest orders to Border Patrol RE: Use Of Force. Further, I believe it was Hillary who specifically pointed out that Stevens was unarmed, which is an indirect admission regarding his protective detail. Just when I don't think I could be any more disgusted with this administration, they manage to exceed my expectations. It's just too bad that patriots were sacrificed while they employed their usual failed tactic of "cooler heads prevail." This doesn't work when your enemies are animals.
