At first I thought they were going to be telling me they had "SRT", come to find out it's just floating security officers! Special Response Officers (SROs) who are security officers that have worked for us for a substantial amount of time and are next in line to become supervisors for our company. SROs are not permanently scheduled at any specific account but are pre-trained at all of our accounts. In the event one of the regular officers at an account calls-off for their assignment (vacation, emergency at home, sick, car breaks down, etc.), one of our SROs is sent as their replacement.
"If a guard is at a reception desk, we often suggest a blazer for a softer, more professional look. We also provide flashlights, rain gear, winter gear, etc. as necessary." Nice to know you get a rain coat and a flashlight.
I dont know enough to say they dont have specials there. The guys I always see that are patrolling arent armed. All i know is they dress like the swat team and the clear light bar on the crusiers is orange.
Used to be they had armed and unarmed. I worked there for two weeks in very early 90's. They had a very good director at the time, but there was this fat prick of a day Sgt. that I could not stand. Since it was literally a two day a week part time gig for me, it was not worth it to put up with his shit. I will say that for those days, their set up was state of the art. The property management spared no expense on security. I got to laughg though, because at one time they had blue lights, and the words Police on their cruiser. They lost that little perk
Ooh, I get to play too! Spotted this one at DD in Waltham. I know this company has been covered before but this is the first time I've been able to get the camera phone out.
This one is from Framingham. Got repair plates that come back to nothing. He just bought that beast. Used to be a K9 truck from one of the Cape Cod Islands.
I was shopping recently in Buffalo...Noticed most of the private security guards had square-shaped metal badges on their chest to distinguish them from Police Officer's shield-shaped badges, I liked the fact I could tell the person was a security guard versus public law enforcement for a fair distance; I've seen far too many guards that only an LE geek could distinguish from public LE/Police...
