When we call the SD for crime scene or K-9 they are very prompt and do good work.
  2. wgciv Subscribing Member

For someone who claims to work for a city PD you have to use the sheriff's dept.?
How big is your so-called city?

whats funny is all you fools on here bashing the sheriffs..especially state police officers. truth be known the state police are not too popular as a whole in the law enforcement community. the real cops are the ones patroling the streets at night , pulling people over, serving warrants, etc.must be tough to sit on the side of the highways for 8 hours and not get out and get paid for a detail..i feel so bad for you guys. the pain you must feel in your rear ends at the end of your shifts..wow. God bless you all. the state police officers on here are a travesty to the law enforcement community. not all of them, but some. i take it personal that you guys bash the sheriffs department. truth be told not all sheriffs are yahoo's and wannabe's. i am speaking for myself on this one. and have met some rah rah type of guys and quickly moved off to the side so i dont get shot. but to bash as a whole, i think is a joke. i must look at the source.knowing there are men and woman who do not have or had the opportunity to be in the position that some of you are in (i.e. civil service scores etc), joined the sheriffs departments in whatever capacity because it is a law enforcement are proud to wear the uniform they represent. I raised my right hand and swore to uphold the laws of the constitution just as you all did . does that make me quick draw mcgraw. fu** no. are you still better?.. f*** no. i know some staties on here are running there mouth. you all must be proud. ive heard stories of you guys pulling over other law enforcement officers and issuing tickets. way to go. you must be proud of that. i play semi pro football because i love to play football . do i wish i went to the nfl?..sure if i had 2 grand to pay for the plane ride out to the combine sure. but i didnt and im just happy to play football. some sheriffs are just happy to be in law enforcement. its a tough gig to get as a whole . the acadamy may not be as long , but its demanding, time consuming, hard and your family, work and your life suffer short term but in the end its worth it.'' IVE BEEN SAYING IT FOR YEARS AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN, F* CK THE STATE POLICE" ....and any others that look down upon the sheriffs. you all are a travesty and a train wreck . your not well liked in the l.e. community. always remember that.

you may have to wait 40 minutes..but thank the state police for that..they want the big crime scenes..they couldnt give 2 shi-ites about the b and e"s , the average hit and run accidents..the stolen vehicles, the oui's etc. naw they are BIG TIME BABY!...you think they wanna scuff the shine going into some poor guys house that just got robbed?..aww hell no !!!..God Forbid!!!!...

Maybe not, but EVERYONE hates the Deputies.

Weird. You just described the average night for most Troopers.

    Huh?

Deputies feel it, too. With them, though...it's not from sitting down, ya know?

    No, just many of them.

    If you say so.

Does that make you a cop either? F*ck no.

I've heard stories of locals doing the same. Every department has their d*ckheads.

Please cut the sh*t. You got invited to the NFL Combine? But you couldn't afford the plane ride for a chance at a minimum $400,000 job? What a crock. The Combine is for the top 300 players in College Football. You are claiming that you are that? I highly doubt it.

Hey, I could be coaching in the NFL but it's a long ride to Foxboro so I just coach High School.

    What a nitwit.

Hate to f*ck up their happiness, but...they're not.

Yet after all that hard work, you STILL can't spell "Academy?" Weird.

Well F you, too. P.S. Not to be redundant, but nobody likes Sheriffs.

Wow. What a crock of crap. Don't let facts get in the way of your rant, you blithering idiot. I know tons of Troopers that respond constantly to B&E's, make TONS of OUIs, etc.

You really are an idiot, it's apparent for all to see.
  6. 94c Subscribing Member

so sherifflittle...tell us some of the dangerous places your department patrols?

and when was the last time the sheriff's department investigated a homicide?
  7. wgciv Subscribing Member

Ha ha... penislittle put alot of thought and time into that post, bet he felt great after he posted it, and you just shit on the entire thing... piece by piece... ha ha

They don't investigate homicides, they may show up to another department's investigation, snap a few photos, and refer to it as their investigation when speaking with their buddies.
  8. sherifflittle MassCops Member

hmmm...i thought detectives, or homicide divisions investigate homicides?...dont know how this has to do w/ anything..but i bet you put alot of time and energy into this post as well..tell me , what is 2+2 ?..

well my friend..you seem like the intelligent one here , how about YOU tell me where you patrol?....any particular rest stop you like to frequent?..

  9. ferus fidelitas MassCops Member

we make about 2000 arrests and request numerous warrants and summons each year. In addition we respond to about 30,00 incidents a year, of all sorts... We take our own photographs and prints. We use a County K9 because the S P never seems to have one nearby - personally, I think the K9's apprehension rate is maybe 3% - I have more confidence in the 3 blind mice. The K9 guys are good, decent men who are polite and just doing their job...I don't know any BCI guys and am not sure why other PD's don't do as we do.. I see zero need for Deputies to patrol streets or have Ch 90 powers (Spare us that Baez BS) - We all have our own jobs, simply do what is expected of you...

BBelichick...great return volley. Pretty much decimated that entire argument.

94c...I would gather you are not going to get an answer to "Where do you patrol?", aside from the obvious 4th grade answer of, "no...where do YOU patrol?"

Sherifflittle...why you chose not to like me or others I work with because of the patch we wear on our arm...I do not know. It might be because I don't play "semi-pro football", and you do, which, again, is obvious because you chose to tell everyone. Just know this, the guys and girls I work with, all do good work. All the arrests that "real cops" make, I see, every night, walking into the barracks with a Trooper attached to their arm. I know it's not up to your "semi-pro" standards. But we do our best.

And if all these LE departments and officers that hate the SP are the ones that I talk with every night and go have a beer with occasionally. Then either they are two-faced liars and cowards...or its a little "wishful thinking" on your part. I find THEM to be great guys and girls...so I'm thinking the latter.

Thank you for the insults...stay safe.
  12. gooday MassCops Member

I patrol, Cell blocks and the perimeter of the jail. I look very smooth doing it too. Sometimes I even strut.
  13. 94c Subscribing Member

Detectives are not the first on the scene of a homicide. The initial work by the responding officers can make or break a case. But thanks for reminding me that the sheriff's department doesn't have detectives to investigate homicides either.

By the way, I patrol in a city that has chased the deputies out of town. They will not patrol my city because they are afraid too. Enough said.

(It also helps to keep a black book on all the fuck-ups you guys do)
  14. bbelichick Moderator

    Big book.

Tough guy. Step into a State Police barracks and let them know your feelings. That, my friend, will be a kodak moment. If you have the balls to do it (which I know you dont), let me know. I'd like to witness/take part in the fun. :)

I agree completely. That trooper, who recently took a sh*tload of drugs off the road after he initiated a traffic stop because the operator didn't properly display a front plate, would agree with you too. As far as the OUI statement.. well the statistics speak for themselves. Look it up.

I know you are such a tough guy over at Cambridge! It must suck to have to share your football war stories with inmates to show them how badass you are. To me you sound like another bitter individual who couldn't make the cut and just cannot get over it.
  19. gooday MassCops Member

This sounds like its gonna end up with a meeting at the flag pole after school or work. No hair pulling, biting, scratching or hitting below the belt. No wedgies either.

Secondly, I also don’t appreciate your comments about real cops patrol the streets. I personally patrol some of the busiest streets in this city. I also don’t think you have ever stopped a motor vehicle at 0200 hours on some deserted highway, with NO back-up.

I am not a sherriff so I will get that out in the open right away. I have stopped people at 0200 and there is no initial backup. This happens with locals too. If you need backup and you are concerned that your fellow trooper is not close by, try calling the local dept whose jurisdiction you happen to be in. Better to admit you need assistance than have everyone at your wake and funeral wondering why you didn't

I don’t think you have ever made a death notification to some teenage kids’ parents at 0500 hours after assisting the Medical Examiner bag their bodies. Don’t you ever disrespect those who do the worst of the worst!!
I have made the death notifications and no matter what time you make it, it is never an easy thing to do. The locals also make it many times for other departments that can't do it themselves.

I only bash those who bash first. The Massachusetts State Police is enriched with tradition and history. Most honest men and women out their who hate the MSP will tell you their experience and why they dropped out of the academy or how they just hate calling the MSP for real crime or incidents. I understand I was once the guy directing traffic for MSP as a local. Don’t disrespect those who do what you don’t! UURRRAHHH MSP![/quote]

I will agree that the State Police is rich in tradition. I DO NOT hate the State Police. I respect them the same way I do every other cop/trooper.. I take people as I get to know them...I have run across arrogant troopers just as I have run up against arrogant locals and sheriffs...I DON'T hold the entire department to judgement based upon the actions of a few. The point I don't understand is where you say that locals hate calling the MSP for "real crime or incidents." I guess in your view a domestic violence incident is not a real crime...try telling that to the victim who was beat up by her husband...I am sure she will disagree with you...Hopefully you never have your house broken into because it will probably kill you to call the local...don't be one of those guys that forgot where you came from. to give you an example, I had a former friend that merged into the SP and made sure that I knew that I was "just a local and when was i going to join the big boys?" this wasn't said in jest, he actually began to believe that he was better and I was just a piece of @#$...needless to say I have no use for him, but I don't let that cloud my view of the entire SP..in fact I will probably have a couple of beers with other trooper friends and a couple of sheriff friends during the Pats game....now if they root for San Diego...all bets are off.

As I said before, it is great to be proud of what you do and what job you have..that is why this thread is probably 25 pages long...just to give you
