Does anybody know where Nick's Uniforms moved to? I need some custom pants. I will also take advice on a new tailor.

You need to be a tad more specific - what kind of pants? Tailor in what area of the state? (we're a national amusement park here!! :D )

Our imaginations run WILD around here!

OK I did leave myself wide open for that... I want some uniform pants... I like the 8 pockets (I really could care less about the flashlight/nightstick pockets). I am located in Somerville but can drive anywhere in Eastern Mass.
As for Nick's I know he is in Woburn, but can't seem to find his address.

    Thanks for the help.

JackO, Nick's Uniforms is not located at, 155 New Boston St. Woburn Ma. Their phone number is 781-932-1699. He's open Monday-Friday 07:00-15:00 hours. He's open on Sat. by appointment only. Give him a call he came to our station a couple of weeks ago and had a deal on pants. He has a good product that lasts a long time. If you go there around lunch time stop at Cafe Serelli 120 New Boston St. for lunch.

Awesome... Thanks so much! They made some pants for me years ago in Malden and they were the best duty pants I have ever had!

Does a GP small count as custom pants?

Just to let you guys know, Nick does make a very good product. His pants will last for years if you take care of them. He custom makes all his pants. He doesn't just shorten the legs and let out the waist of pants off the rack.

that kind of quality is unfortunately becoming harder and harder to find.

    Poly? Cotton?

What's the coolest / most breathable stuff???

And where do you put your sap (er..."paperweight") if you don't have the long pockets in the back???

Give him a call and he will let you know. He will do as many pockets as you want. I have him cut large side pockets in the legs for ticket books and cpr mask. We still have a walking beat which I work on over times.

Wool is actually the most breathable, but it has no give whatsoever, and chances are you'll have a blowout at some point. I've found a poly/wool blend to be the most breathable AND practical.

Delta784, I think they are 60-40 mix but i'm not sure. He came to the station a couple of weeks ago and he was selling 2 pairs of pants custom fit for $120.00. He'll make them any way you want.

Holy crap that's a good price. My local shithole place is getting about 80/pant for blauer. They held up well for a year then immediately tanked. I'm also unhappy with Blauer's supershirt quality. Everything I originally hated about them (stretchy sides, mic tab) I have grown to really like, except the material went to shit real quickly.
