  1. BRION24 Educating the public

I just watched Next 3 Days this weekend. It was good until the Super Detective at the end kind of ruined it for me.

Let me explain. They find a piece of a Toyota Prius taillight in the alley at the scene of a crime. They immediately determine that a guy with no criminal record is a suspect because his wife is in jail and the car is registered to her. The police break into his house, for what reason I have no idea, and find no evidence in the house to further convince them that he is guilty of anything, using this information they begin a manhunt for him using every asset that the State, Local, Federal Law Enforcement have at their disposal to try and stop this one guy. They essentially shut down a whole State within 35 minutes in an attempt to stop him from escaping. I liked it up until that point

Arthur.....don't see it. Bad. Glad I saw it for free, actually got paid to see it for a focus group.
  3. BRION24 Educating the public

I had no intention of seeing it.
  4. Kilvinsky Will Work for Beer

I enjoyed the original quite a bit. Dudley Moore was a very funny guy. This new guy, Russel Brand is a bit much. Sort of like Robin Williams on crack. Funny now and then, but over all....eh, not impressed.

I kinda liked it; not quite as funny as the original but I still liked it.

Just took my little birds to see Rio in 3D. It was very colorful and we all enjoyed it.

I think I hated it so much is because I am sick of all the remakes. Most movies being made these days are remakes. It sucks.

  9. Kilvinsky Will Work for Beer

I'm sick of remakes as well, but as I've said countless times, I wish SOMEONE would do a remake of "The Choirboys". That movie NEEDS a remake.

Such a waste of a great cast.
  10. HuskyH-2 G-Rap made me do it!

Just watched Source code. It was really good, around 90 on rotten tomatoes. I had no plans to see it and actually trashed it before i saw the ratings. Then figured I'd give it a shot and I'm glad I did.

Nothing like a movie that takes you entirely by surprise. I recall seeing "Flash Dance" when it came out. I didn't want to, but my GF and her friend wanted to see it and I went along. I walked out of there thinking what a terrific movie it was, and no, NOT for the reasons you may be thinking! That stuff was rather disapointing. Oh look, she dumped water on herself, isn't that COOL and SEXY? No, it's just WET and BORING!

But I did enjoy that stupid movie. To this day, I can't figure it out.

I'm a little late on the review, however, "Limitless" was awesome.

Great movie, kinda predictable, but still worth watching.

Limitless was pretty good, The Lincoln Lawyer was also decent. I rented The Mechanic but didnt really like it. I like Statham and the other guy they used but the movie just didnt do it for me. I liked the original much better before JMV went Gary Busey on us. Last night I pulled out State of Grace, Sean Penn, Ed Harris, Gary Oldman....real good Irish mob type of flick. I aslo watched Blade Runner, yup still love it.

I usually like mindless karate movies but I have never seen a Jason Statham movie and don't really have a desire to.

Mechanic was a bag of shit, defines the term "Plot holes" things happen and scenes jump with no explanation whatsoever. State of Grace was great, awesome shootout in the bar.

Brion The Mechanic wasnt one of his karate movies it was a remake of the old Mechanic with Jan Michael Vincent, that I loved mostly because of Bronson but JMV was good for a few years.

WATER FOR ELEPHANTS I believe is a good date movie. The setting, the depression, and the story are interesting and may at times move slowly but draws you into it quite well.
My movie woman was satisfied but then I'd suspect I always leave her that way.

I have heard grat things about that movie now I will definately see it. Plus the depression really interests me having been the time that the greatest generation grew up in.
  19. HuskyH-2 G-Rap made me do it!

I recently saw Hanna, Fast Five and Rango.

Fast Five was really good definitly the best of the franchise. They ate overhauling it and I like the new angle.

Hanna was great also, I didnt expect
much from it and was pleasantly surprised. I imagine if Jason Bourne ever ha a kid shed be like Hanna.

If you like animation and like westerns youll like Rango, reminded me of Fival Goes West, which is a classic for my generation.

    I recommend all three,

Just finished watching 7 Pounds w/ Will Smith and Rosario Dawson. Pretty good, just takes a while to figure out if things are happening in sequential order or not...
  23. BRION24 Educating the public

I watched Black Swan the other day and it was very good. A little odd but good. And there was an especially good scene in there but I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but it does involve two women and not a lot of clothes.

I made the mistake of watching Memento from halfway through the first time. Seen it a few times since, still cant make heads or tails of it. Sometimes it works, like Pulp Fiction, other times....doesn't.
  25. LGriffin Verified Mother Führer...

I'll bet it took allot to admit that, but a friend dragged me to see it and it was actually hilarious. Although it could have been even better with a frosty glass of Blue Moon.
