It's ok 7, Im sure it's not the first time that you have tried to fit a smaller caliber into something that was made for something much larger, just say'in :D

We had a guy in my academy. They just transitioned from 9 to 40 Sigma. They gave one of their two recruits a case of 9mm. He kept shooting and cycling it through a 40 cal Sigma for two days. Couldn't hit shit with it and was all over the paper. At the end if day 2, I was firing beside him. I noticed that his target looked weird. Holes were not round, they were oval. And then one if his ejected casings went down my shirt. When I dug it out, I noticed it was a 9. I knew his gun was a 40 and it was a big WTF. Once he got the right ammo, problem was solved. How the fuck he didn't ruin that gun, blow it up, squib, or haven't had even one feed failure is beyond me.

Well, thanks, I had a gay accident then.

Cue the Glock Goobers, because we all know the Sigma was a rip-off of the Glock.

Sigma is what comes out of Glock's ass.
  7. frank Subscribing Member

I'm not doubting you as I've never shot one and the reliability issues are well known, but I was referring more to the lawsuit where Glock sued S&W for ripping off the Glock, and put a Sigma slide on a Glock frame, or vice-versa.

Horrific POS. Until they started making a 1911 variant, and now the M&P, you would not consider even pissing on a Smith & Wesson Semiauto. The guns they are coming out with now, are considerably better. When that Sigma came oput and people were gushing over it, my mentality remained that if I was buying a Glock, I would buy a Glock and not a Glock wannabe

Just cause it works don't mean it's right...like a lot of things in life these days. As Frank said, .40 and .357 are interchangeable with eachother...but not with 9mm. It may fit and cycle, but it's not right. The mags should be marked 9mm and .40/.357 but not all 3

Yes but thank GOD you're more a SIG soldier than a Glock Goober.
BTW I agree with the first generation Sigma's being a shameful copy of the Glock, with terrible problems. But I'll go to my grave spouting that the Sigma "E" series were reliable enough for duty carry.

They should have named it Stigma.

Harsh ha, you would think he would be more appreciative of me seeing as I corrected his limpwristed shooting and helped him qual about 100 times when we worked together.

Iam NOT arguing the point, thats why I brought it here, as with anything in life I seek advice from those who I " believe" know more than I do, hence a former Marine telling me somethng I would trust, like th3e LEO who worked at a University that wanted to buy my gun last year and told me it was perfectly fine for me to bring it to him at work, we both learned a lesson from that, his lesson was his job.

Something tells me that he was on a hit list anyway. Why would they fire him for that?
I get that you shouldn't have carried on to the campus but still...

From what he told me they were after him becasue of his union involvement, this was just an excuse to finally get rid of him. Im not anti union, just anti FORCED union.

Not to insult your friend, but I have heard more bad firearms advice come out of the mouths of former service members than any other single group. This is particularly true when it comes to pistols, which most military members, with the exception of "special guys" have very little experience or training with. One of my friends who came back recently from Afghanistan and said he laughed at all the ways the inexperienced-with-pistol members carried their sidearms, with the configurations ranging from the merely silly and hard to get the pistol out to outright dangerous. He called their various holster/contraptions "pistol purses"!

He isnt my friend, just an NESr I bought the gun from. Im glad YOU said that because although I agree, having qualled next to many Vets and seen a few lose their jobs over pistol quals its not something I would ever bring up.

would never want to see anyone lose their job over a qualification. even the DOC has a remedial class they recycle everybody through that doesn't pass the first time.

by and large i find vets to be better guys to work with. i see guys go overseas and come back different people. guess something about a very real enemy trying to kill you will do that to a person.

One last question . So does this mean if I load more than 10 rnds of .9mm into those mags im making it a "high cap" mag???

This is the most "press" the Sigpro has ever gotten. Please, let it go. Melt it down and make a paper weight.

Shut your fucking mouth before Coakley gets any ideas and issues another advisory to dealers.
