Just curious what you think off it? We have the "non turbo" version and i'm not sure how I like it... Seems to have more room and a ton of gadgets (some pointless) but feels like the Nissan rogue (power wise). Missing that snapiness if the vic... I do like our choice of graphics. Plain and simple and too the point. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
you guys are getting SUV's and we are getting hybrid fusions and altimas.....at least we have blue lights now so we do not get rear ended during pursuits.
That's lame assed and wrong and strangely hysterically funny... all rolled into one! Though I daresay - you'r "patrol area" is a wee bit tighter than ours.
Other than the 300 hp V6 the driver's cockpit is a lot tighter than people thought. My knees are up against the dash but if you're under 5'8" you'll love it. Seat is narrow and shorter, the ergonomics are cramped and the cup holder is behind you out of reach. But I don't pay for it nor do I pay for the $4/gal gas so it's all smiles, baby. I let Deuce drive it and we switched routes for the day. He worked on his tan, jumped a few sexy calls, listened to some Sirius/XM Liquid Metal, got lunch and then saw his girlfriend on the side. Checked the detail and OT list a few times and put in for an admin job. I took his route and handled all his calls safely and effectively, putting the criminal element at bay for 24 hours.
We're getting new vehicles this year (not me, I got one last year), and I've been afraid to ask anyone what we're getting.
I wouldn't be surprised if it comes from Ford that way, since I have seen the same scheme in several different pictures for several different agencies.
We've got one, the people who drive it like it a lot. We'll probably get another one next year. No issues so far.
LA I think your clasic black and white's are the classiest look out there.. I miss the old blue and white mass. schemes as well. I am a big fan of simple is better.
I've seen a couple on the highways at details.. ( who am I kidding - it's probably the same guy!) I like the lights on the SUV's.. pulse bar and only the red brake lights "flash"... it's much less blinding. Though I honestly thing a drunk is a drunk and is still going to waffle them...hopefully the SUV gives a little something back to them.
We got one that's all wheel drive. It's a different look for sure, but it's going to be nice come winter time.
Ya, I thought they had a turbo version in the SUV....guess not. It's the all wheel drive model. The graphics are the stock ones they offered and are all reflective so at night it lights up huge when light hits it. I guess it's ok (vic withdrawal) and the electronics included are a nice upgrade. I hope Ford got their shit straight for these two versions. Anyone else remember all the blown engines and transmissions when they changed from the boxy style Vic to the aero style? The setup was unproven for police work until they worked all the bugs out.
Just realized that they put Ford Ranger pickup seats, not Explorer seats, in the Interceptor Utilities. Presumably it was to accommodate the center radio console and the prisoner cage. And here I thought my ass got wider and longer; DQ Blizzards be damned.
I had a NH one black with subdued gray in my rear view...that grille is almost menacing. I like it. There is an issue with overhead rifle racks and the side curtain airbags.
