In fairness to the refs, I think it needs to be pointed out that they did exactly what they were supposed to. One ref "linesman" breaks up the fight while the other ref (official) watches the action to determine what penalties need to be assessed. Anyone who has watched hockey for more than 5 seconds should know that.
Doubt it. In my experience, the type of Mom who would storm the ice and yell at the refs because her little cherub was getting beat up on the ice is generally anti 2nd Amendment.

This is the kind of parent that comes to pick her son up in the lobby of the station after he was found drunk at a party and yells at the officers for harassing her son and demands to speak to the chief of police to file a complaint.
With that attitude she probably didn't have any friends in the stands to keep an eye on it. I saw worse fights than that when my girls cheered at the hockey games. If that little scuffle got moms panties in a twist, she'll really flip out when she figures out that junior is probably getting beaten up by the jv chess team now.
Hope little Johnny doesn't play football or is on the wrestling team. Could be painful for mom interrupting any of those sports. Talk about dropping a social bomb on your kid.
