  1. Hank Moody You get what you give

I think if the mother went towards the water to retrieve a ball, she would have seen her go towards the water. At least that's the way I understood it. ???????

I've never met anyone over the age of 18 named Caleigh, or Caylee, or any variation thereof. It seems like one of those names destined for tragedy.

I think she must've washed out to sea and the sister probably wasn't paying any attention, so she didn't see it happen. I know both my 4yr old son and not-yet-3 Yr old daughter would be able to clearly verbalize what they saw if they witnessed something like that. When mom looked back at them, apparently the sister just held up her arms and yelled "Caleigh's gone!" It doesn't sound like they got much else from her than that until this new story came out. It's just sad that the family still has no idea what happened. If they go along w/ this new story from the sister, I can't imagine how it will effect her life growing up, believing she watched someone take her sister.

Apparently, the children were out of view as she prioritized the search for the dogs ball.

My guess (at best ) is based on a few things. It's not her story its the fact that its changed atleast three times, her husband was evasive in the questioning, they both seemed very odd. The Father was arrested a few months back, something minor but its still an indicator and who knows what his record looks like. Gloucester has a serious drug epidemic I think it was or still is the heroin capitol of the US , I have no clue if he uses its just something that adds to my guess. I could be completely wrong, I pray they find her safe but I would be bringing a cadavar dog around the parents vehicles and homes and using that cool CSI light right about now.

That part is bothering me a bit. I thought the initial report was that the girls were playing with the ball and she went to retrieve it. I can't really see the point of leaving the kids to run after a tennis ball for the dog. Then again in the chaos surrounding her disappearance, it's entirely possible that the reports I heard were wrong. I don't know, the interview did seem hinky, but I'm still not ready to say the parents had something to do with it. What I am convinced of, is that a mystery person would have been see by someone.

Just too many different/changed stories here. This whole case stinks to high heaven.

Obviously this is an emotional story. Child lost in a public place with people all around. Was it an accident? Was there a mystery man? No one saw anything? Was the child even there at the beach to begin with? Heartwrenching to watch the parents suffer like this but the hard questions must be asked and other possibilities raised. If you're old enough to remember the Charles Stuart case you'll remember how EVERYONE wants to believe the crying relative...until it was proven he did it....then EVERYONE said, "Yup, knew it was him the whole time" In time I'm sure there will be answers. Until then I'll say a prayer and ask for her safe return.

Admittedly I haven't watched nor paid much attention to this - some stuff's just to hard to deal with right now.

But with all the discussion of stories changing and hinky behaviors - I'm starting to wonder also - was she even there to start with?

Real sad. At this point who knows what happened. I just pray that little baby didn't suffer irregardless. No kid deserves to suffer.

Cops seek protective order for missing tot’s sister

Cops investigating the disappearance of missing Gloucester toddler Caleigh Harrison have filed a request for a protective order on behalf of her older sister, asking the Department of Children and Families to look for signs of abuse or neglect, state police said.
State police spokesman David Procopio would not say what prompted the state and Rockport police team that is investigating the missing girl case to file the 51A request on behalf of four-year-old Lizzie Harrison, who police believe may be the only witness to her sister’s disappearance. He said the request does not mean they developed any information relating to foul play surrounding Caleigh’s disappearance.
“The filing with the state Department of Children and Families represents an allegation of potential neglect only,” Procopio said. “That department must now determine whether to conduct a civil investigation into potential neglect.”

    They filed a 51A - Ooooohhhhh !!!!

Cuz this family of in-denial grieving loved ones need MORE shit piled on them - DSS will swoop in and take that poor - already traumatized girl and put her in a foster home to be diddled and molested.

Mom made a mistake - she didn't consider the danger she exposed her kids to and her little girl was swept out to sea.

"Neglect" in DSS-world is anything they FEEL like making up - facts be damned.

    BOSTON —
A pair of child's pants found entangled in ocean debris on a Gloucester beach is consistent with those worn by a 2-year-old girl who vanished from a Rockport beach last spring, the State Police said Monday.
The pink capri pants were found on the northern end of Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester by a person walking the beach on Friday, state police said.
The pants are consistent in size, color, and style with those that Caleigh Harrison was wearing when she disappeared while playing on Rockport's Long Beach on April 19, state police said.
The pants, found about a mile south of where the girl was last seen, were shown to members of the child's family, but they have not confirmed if they belonged to Caleigh, state police said.

While we all hope Caleigh is found alive, the painful reality is that it's far more likely that as mom admitted, she took her eyes off her and poor Caleigh was taken by the sea. The "only took my eyes off her for a second" and "must be a kidnapping" claims were likely figments concocted by a distraught mother. Unfortunately it's another example that it only takes a second, either way. I hope they find closure.

Closure yes, and apologize to the MSP/Coast Guard/Gloucester PD/Fire/ etc for insisting they weren't doing enough.
