FREETOWN — The town last Monday was the first community to meet with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District about a 9-1-1 dispatch feasibility study that would regionalize dispatch services. But a packed crowd, including many dispatchers and police officers, told SRPEDD that such regionalization is not in Freetown’s financial best interest or in the best interest of town safety.
