Never Indeed! The fighting part, well, that's to be expected, but NOT behind a bar!

I can think of about 10 bars within that area....which one were the young ladies patronizing?

Not quite sure "ladies" was the term you were looking for.

Sarcasm often doesn't translate online.....there are very few ladies in the Hancock Parking Area at 1am, although there are many females.

    The Fours! YESSSSSSSSSSS

Figures.....that was #2 on my guess list.

Well, from what you told me, the 'ladies' weren't at MY HOUSE,

And I thought The Fours was a decent place. I went there for a retirement party for my Father-in-law several years ago. Hey, what the hell do I know. Braintree has had very few good bars over the years and I never made it to Santy's or John Barleycorn's, though the cops visited John Barleycorn's MANY times in it's short existence.

It was NOT The Fours. The Fours is a nice place. Very under rated for functions as well.

It is. And it's probably the safest bar on the south shore.

My House is no more....closed, and the building is for sale. It lasted 70+ years as the shot-and-a-beer Washington Tap, but the great transgender experiment never caught on in a lower-class blue collar neighborhood. Didn't see that one coming.

There's a couple of names from the past.....I went to Santy's for one beer many years ago, just to say I did it. The regulars all stared at me until I left. My dad took my brother and I to dinner at John Barleycorn's, because his bank had issued the business loan for its startup. A fight broke out in the bar about halfway through dinner, and my dad said "This may have been a mistake".

Did you ever make it to Henry's Bar in South Braintree Square? The whole block burned down many years ago.

Did the kegs make it out OK??? :D

Ah, Henry's. Never made it there either. When it burned down, I was still pretty much hiding in the woods to drink, but that was another local landmark for a while.

The other bucket of blood Braintree place I remember was the lounge at El Torito's by the SSP.....there's a Barnes & Noble there now. On Friday & Saturday night, you couldn't even find a parking spot half the time.

    Mmmmmm El Torito's !!!

Darcy's is still there on Willard Street.....FAR from the Hancock Parking Area.

Dee Dee's is now a Chinese restaurant, which according to one of my area partners who is native Chinese, is the best Chinese restaurant in Quincy.

I will admit I've never tried it.

Di Di Mau Restaurant is not on my 'have tried' list either, but
    Darcy's however... I used to like, dive-status-and-all.

  24. Hank Moody You get what you give

13th tree? Or was it the 18th ???? You and Delta have "a couple" years on me. If he hasn't partied there he surely has gone to break them up. With all the condos that have gone up in the past few years, I'm not sure that that area is still even accessible.

I used to work at the HoJo's behind it. We'd have the guard go out and try to chase everyone away who wanted to park in our driveway, lot, rooms, roof, they'd put cars EVERYWHERE!
