Cops: Two found dead in Roxbury likely overdosed

    Two people found behind a large trash bin in Roxbury yesterday afternoon appear to have been victims of a fatal drug overdose, Boston police said.
    Authorities said they were called at 2:47 p.m. to the rear of an apartment complex at 599 Columbus Ave., a few blocks from Northeastern University.
    Homicide detectives were on scene, but a preliminary probe indicated the pair died of an apparent drug overdose, police said.

    Narcan is that miracle drug they inject when someone has overdosed, anyone in any emergency services ends up hating it because it usually takes someone that nice and peaceful and wakes them all rested and ready to fight..

    Narcan unfortunately blocks the receptors that opiates plug into in a person's system. The heroin is still in there, it just can't act upon the person by shutting them down. Fuckin douche that invented it should be kneecapped. Now they want to or have already started handing out narcan along with clean needles at needle exchanges, so these maggots can self administer when they OD. Stay classy Massachusetts!

    We can't find a cure for cancer, but we can land on the moon and invent an opiate overdose antidote......I'm thinking of all the people I know who died of cancer, including my father, and my blood pressure is spiked.

    Once the deed is done, let them RIP. Why bring them BACK to only; a) suffer more of thier miserable lives. b) commit more crimes. c) cost the courts, the hospitals, the jails, the TAXPAYERS more money. d) do it all over again.

    Though this is a group I don't advocate 'getting rid of', once their gone, maybe it's for the best. Leave them in peace.

    Come on down to Q-Zoo, we're overrun with heroin right now.....a night without at least one OD is becoming the exception. It got to the point a couple of weeks ago that they were only putting one Narcan dispenser in the cruisers instead of the usual two, because we were running out.

    Better than shooting up in a playground, then leaving the needles there.....yeah, that was a GREAT idea to legalize needles. :mad:

    Junkies used to guard their needles like a precious treasure....now that they can buy them at CVS, we find them discarded everywhere, like empty gum wrappers.

    Boston made the request about 2 weeks ago... when EMS was flying all over the City on OD calls. It was right after the vanload with the hides was grabbed way up in A troop.

    Most of it's probably used up by now.
