It takes less than that for some people. It was probably just a parking ticket or judicial referral on a college policy violation.

I have actually seen a few posts on here lately that belittle security. Not sure what the deal is. After all, with a name like DeputyDonkey, I assume this guy is probably some sort of sheriff-employed character. I asked some around about opportunities with the sheriff offices and discovered those guys have no real policing authority and that I'd be better off in a hospital/some type of security outfit.

Or someone who has applied to countless real police departments and keeps getting passed up. So instead, he made a donation, did some major ball washing and bought the clams for the clambake so he could land a job as a Deputy"ass"

"better off in a hospital/some type of securtiy outfit".....Um, that would be a big NO. Some members on this site may have issues with some of the things the sheriff departments do in this state (including myself and I worked for Norfolk County), but make no mistake about it we know they are professionals who work in a key part of law enforcement. Most if not all are good men and women who provide valuable intel to any department that requests it. Now I've gone and started up the Sheriff vs security debate:rolleyes:

I slam ONLY individuals and refuse to slam departments, agencies, genres of law enforcement/security because there are too many good people in each one and whereas I'm not perfect, I don't hold myself above anyone on the right side of the law simply because of where they work.

However I am above dickweeds, morons, idiots, sleezebags, dimwits, slugs, suedo intellectuals, misfits, shitheals and scum.

Oh, and every other cop in the Commonwealth except those who belong here and I like.

Ok, I'm above them too, but only by a little.

I've made my stand clear often enough in the past, so I won't drag it out again. Too many here wouldn't understand my big words (especially since I can't spell any of them for shit.)

maybe not fra444, since he's a sgt. now.

Although the Sheriff debate has been beaten to death on here, I will admit there is some resentment towards those who buy their job. Those who work behind the walls and assume the roles and responsibilies assigned to them are not included. But I've heard some stories about the DOC where the screws are complete meatheads, completely and utterly. I was studying accounting recently and a DOC guy asked me, no word, "why are you reading that" and my response was "I want to be an accountant and it affords a very good living and good opportunities". His response was, "kid (mind you I'm almost 30), 20 year pension....". Follows it up with, "screws top out at $27 an hour". Is it wrong that I want to advance my education and become a CPA and put forth the work it takes to accomplish it? This was just one guy, but his mentality was completely idiotic.

Your story may have merit, and good for you to seek out the accounting job, but I bet the same guy along with some of the "complete meatheads" would put themselves in harms way behind those prison walls to save a co-worker. Just saying.

I don't doubt your story, but I can tell I have worked with my fair share of "meatheads" in Police depts. Whats the point, well every occupation, L.E and otherwise has meatheads of some type. I guess you could say there is no sense in complaining about shit you cant control, but it is fun though aint it.
