Brandeis Police

Good Morning,

I was looking to see if anyone has any updated info on Brandeis, I noticed that they have a posting for a PO. I don't care about Ch90 and all that crap, most of you should no me better than that. I am mainly looking for scheduling 4x2 etc and current pay scale. I have done a search but most of the info is from 08 and I am sure things have changed.

Wish I had something to offer but it seems like Brandeis PD has been flying under the radar for quite some time. I'm curious to see what info surfaces from this.

SPINMASS - one of our Co-Ops got on there after going through the SSPO for the BU Bio-Lab that never happened. PM me if you dont remember who it was.

The weird part is that they still advertise for that position.

They're still hoping to open though at this point it's with less hazardous materials. At least the last news reports I heard this was the case. Hell of a big complicated building to not open SOMETHING.

Just to pass this along,

I'd contacted Brandeis HR and was told the starting pay for the police officer position "varies according to training and experience." I'd also be curious if anyone has more specific information.

5x 8 hour shifts, 08-16,16-00,00-08
Medium volume/low acuity.
Good people, frustrating management at times.

Ch90, no long guns right now... thats been in progress for a year or so. High hopes, though...

As anywhere, there are some awesome cops and some lacking... but overall the department is young, sharp and proactive. My beefs lie with the chief.
