THAT is the most retarded statement youve made so far. They are enemy combatants, NOT soldiers and are not subject to the Geneva convention. In the"old" days people caught carrying weapons, engaged in sabotage and and fighting us out of uniform were shot on the spot....theyre called terrorist.

They were captured during combat, wearing civilian clothes and carrying weapons. That exempts them from Geneva protections, and also subjects them to summary execution.
  8. The term enemy combatant has historically referred to members of the armed forces of the state with which another state is at war. Prior to 2008, the definition was: "Any person in an armed conflict who could be properly detained under the laws and customs of war." In the case of a civil war or an inserection the term "enemy state" may be replaced by the more general term "Party to the conflict" (as described in the 1949 Geneva Conventions Article 3)

I never used the term enemy combatant, so what does that have to do with anything?

If the US government didn't think the prisoners currently housed in Gitmo were not a threat then I am sure they would release them. That simple. The prisoners housed at Gitmo probably weren't in the wrong place wrong time. They are associates and involved in terror activity. I do not think the gates will open and everyone will run free, its just basically starting the process of releasing the prisoners who are no longer a threat. <--- I say that in a very very leary sense.

    Which is a joke.

    Questions:

-How many prisoners are housed at Gitmo?
-Does Obama want to release everyone?
-If not where will they move the other ones?

I think the safest place for the Gitmo prisoners is where they are now, that way if they escape, they will escape to Cuba. This way the U.S. will be returning the favor to Cuba when Castro released all of those scumbag prisoners and allowed them to immigrate to the U.S.
  13. No! Don't release them.. Hell no. Bring those fuckers to trial. Try them under the geneva convention and our laws. Then convict them and implae them on 9 foot spikes if you want.

Just do it legally and to it properly under international law. Not for the fact that they deserve a trial, but for the fact that our laws dictate it.

About 18 of these terrorists have been recaptured and or killed after being released by the US. While not as highly recidivistic as a child molester, they've returned to their old ways. Let them live at Clambake CrabCock's house while they fight the charges against them. I am sure he's got lots of room in his basement.

Why bring them to trial and afford them rights under the US Constitution that only US citizens should be able to recieve? By kowtowing to the leftists, Obamassiah is putting us in danger. Let them live with you or an ACLU lawyer who's defending them.

  18. 1. Why where they released? Where they tried in court or just let go?
    Links please
    2. Don't have a basement.
    3. WHY?? because its required under our constitution, under the geneva convention, under UN international law.. And our soldiers would like the same in return. Which they won't get from the extremists. How ever they play ball, we must do it the right way.

THIS! Is why you don't torture, and THIS is why you follow the procedures of the Geneva convention!!

Now because he was tortured and held illegally, he's free to go. No death penalty, and no more jail time..
"In any instance in which the United States wishes to impose the death penalty, my opinion is that such a case requires clean hands on the part of the U.S" ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!

:fu2:sorry mr. terrorist, but your free to even though you killed thousands of innocent people. Sorry you tortured you... You're free to go..:fu2:

"1. Why where they released? Where they tried in court or just let go?"

Because some idiot liberal judge released them.
We are not a research service to provide links do your own research.

"3. WHY?? because its required under our constitution, under the Geneva convention, under UN international law.. And our soldiers would like the same in return. Which they won't get from the extremists. How ever they play ball, we must do it the right way."

Fuck the Geneva convention and the liberals at the UN,our soldiers are not treated in a human way by the terrorists.

The right way is to take them out and line them up and have target practice.

It is plain to see that you never served in the military under combat conditions.

:fu2: Screw you and your liberal outlook:fu2:

Read CJIS post about the terrorist that were released,my option would have worked better threat eliminated end of

    1. Our Constitution does not extend to terrorists in foreign countries.

    2. How many times must you be told that the Geneva accords do not apply to armed people caught on a field of battle wearing civilian clothes?

    3. The United Nations has no jurisdiction over the sovereignty of the United States.

Our armed forces wear the uniform of their country, and therefore are entitled to full protection under the Geneva accords.
  23. I take it you have not read the geneva articles.

    2. so its ok if our undercover soldiers and agents wearing civilian clothes to be treated in the exact same way huh?

    3. we can isolate ourselves again like we did before WWII. That seemed to work out good

@ KWflatbed. That is not a productive avenue of discussion.
  24. Delta784 Acting Stupidly

Not only have I read them, I had mandatory training about them while in the Army.

Absolutely; if you go into a combat theater in civilian clothes while armed, you run that risk. However, you and I both know that being imprisoned is the last thing our people would have to worry about.

The UN is a complete joke that wouldn't even exist without the United States. If such things were up to me, I'd kick them out of New York City, tow all their cars with unpaid tickets, and sell the property for all the unpaid debts we're owed by third-world hellholes. We don't need "diplomats" from Senegal and the Federated States of Micronesia telling us how to have good relationships with other countries.

Oh, and the League of Nations (predecessor of the UN) was in place well before WWII. That seemed to work out good.
  25. I stand by what I said.
Regardless of how they play the game, the Unites States MUST keep their hands clean.
