Anyone know of any upcoming training opportunities?

Portsmouth NH PD seems to have a very good variety of training that comes to their department. I been to a few courses.

I have paid for several training classes myself plus the ammo (and on my own time). My requests for the Dept. to pay for anything were met with a nice version of GFY. My new plan is to tell them the next class I want to take is titled "Diversity Training"..... They will probably pay and put me up at the Ritz.

If you are looking for something different Burlington is hosting a 2 day Force Science course on June 28 and 29. Dr. Bill Lewinski will be teaching this himself along with another instructor. The cost is only $200 (As compared to their 5 day course which is $1500) www.bpd.org/force-science

Now is the best time of year to make a request for your department to send you to training. As you may or may not know, most of the P.D.'s here are on a July 1 to June 30 budget year and any money not spent by June 30 goes back to your city or town general fund. Let your training people know this opportunity isn't going to come around here again for a long time and they can spend the money now or lose it. This class is more than worth your time and money.
