    1 killed in hay wagon crash

    Incident under investigation

    TOWNSEND, Mass. -
    A woman was killed Friday when a hay wagon rolled over in Townsend.
    The incident happened at about 4 p.m. at Brookside Farm on Wheeler Road, Townsend police said.
    The 40-year-old victim was taken to Nashoba Valley Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

    I have just been informed the woman who was killed was a classmate of mine in either the 18th RIPA or 10th MPOC in Boylston. I am not sure if she stayed in law enforcement, but out of respect for the family I will not share her name.

    Thanks folks.

    Really I have not spoken to Leslie since shortly after the Academy, but we had a mutual friend on one of the PDs in that area, and he is the one who called to tell me.
