‘Dougie’ rapper M-Bone slain in Calif. drive-by shooting Posted 19 hour(s) ago M-Bone of the rap group Cali Swag District, which scored a hit last year with the song “Teach Me the Dougie,” was killed in a weekend drive-by shooting as he sat in a car outside a liquor store, police said Monday.
Another one bites the dust. His band said he was a victim of senseless violence, somehow I don't believe that.
It's all senseless - to the rest of us... some gangbangers think a glance in their direction is just cause to light 'em up.
I trust this will be a tremendous loss for the artistic community and many forties have been poured. I haven't been so deeply touched by an instructional song since the hokey pokey.
I'm really surprised by this... not the fact that he was killed; but I wholeheartedly believed that he was going to get killed by an Ice Cream Truck: [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB79k456DhI"]YouTube - Teach Me How To Dougie FAIL[/nomedia]
Totally beat me to it... First thing I thought of was him getting flattened by an ice cream truck, complete with Eddie Murphy in the background yelling, "Ice cream! The ice cream man is here!!"
Thank you. I had no idea who this was until you posted this. Strangely, now that I know who it is, I still don't care.
Clarification: The guy getting tattooed by the truck isn't the rapper. It's just some douche who thinks (like a bunch of douches in the inner-city), that they are entitled to walk in the middle of the road in spite of sidewalks and crosswalks. Looks like he picked a 'rocky road'?
Ohhhh come now, you know you got all hot and bothered over the Humpty Dance. [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChaXS3Naje4"]YouTube - Digital Underground - The Humpty Dance (1990)[/nomedia]
I know that, but that is the only place that I know the dougie thing from. If it wasn't for that dumbass, I'd have never heard of it.
Now you're taking me back to my speed skating days, that's some sweet music right there! The days when "artists" didn't just repeat themselves incessantly. I wish my kids didn't have to hear the crap these fools put out now, i've become the next Weird Al around the house ragging on their "music."
Glad to hear I'm not the only one. The fastest way to get my kids to put on something I wanted to listen to was to "sing along" with the crap they were listening to.
Before I had children, I fully intended to be a cool Mom, but I just can't listen to this crap. Most of my lines consist of "I'm making noise. I'm making noise. Hey look at me! I'm making noise!" It works to the beat of most tweenie bopper songs.
