2008

Seriously 2008? Yowza!

Posted by: ponyboy

PoPo,
Where did you hear that? It seems like that would make it 6 years between tests. I thought it was every 4 or 5 years

i WAS JUST MESSING with ya guys.

Posted by: ponyboy

OK,

does anybody know seriously?

Next Wednesday?

By taking 5 minutes of my precious time and consulting the MSP web site, it would appear that no date has been set for the next exam.

I wouldn't anticipate any time before 2007....we plan to take two more classes off the list (79th and 80th).

Quick question about the test. Does anyone know what age you have to be at the time of the test? I know the msp website says you have to be 21 on the last application filing date, but does that mean the test as well?

I took the test 4 years ago at age 19...and as far as I know my name is on "the list" still...but the rules for the civil service changed last year for canidates to be 21 at the time of the test, not sure about the State though. It is Massachusetts, where nothing makes sense.

Well, since you must be 21 when you apply (which comes BEFORE the test), you should be 21 when the test comes...if my math is correct

Unless you can bridge the time-space continuum.

I wasn't too sure how the testing/app process worked but that cleared it up. Thanks for the info.

So the ruling here is that the test should come late in 2006? That for the most part is what I have heard.

Posted by: ponyboy

I hope so

Well, it has been a while since this question has been posed so I'll go for it.
Any rumors as to if/when a new test will be given? I am aware that there is a new class starting this year (possibly April), but I am curious only for the fact that I would like to take the exam for the first time.
Thank you.

FYI, that would require a Heisenberg Bridge, not a Wheatstone Bridge .

The date of the next exam has not been determined at this time. We are still hiring from the list of eligible candidates who took the 2002 exam. Once a date is announced it will be posted on our web site. If you are interested in being placed on our Trooper Exam Notification List, please reply with your name and mailing address.

Thank you "
